How Parents And Children Can Have Healthy & Safe Conversations About Mental Health

  • Shaanti Bhavan Mandir 109-10 98th Street Queens, NY, 11417 United States (map)

South Queens Women’s March, is an organization that exists to promote women’s empowerment and gender equity, however we recognize that a truly liberated and safe community requires ALL of us. To that end, we are bringing back our mental health initiative which begun last year, except this time around the focus will shift. While the workshops are open to all, special emphasis will be placed on the healing and wellness of men and boys. Over the last several years, our community has been rattled by various painful losses of young men. Countless others struggle in silence without healthy coping tools. We must do something and it must be done now.

Our workshops will be facilitated by culturally responsive mental health professionals and advocates. We will provide a delicious lunch and a certificate of completion for every workshop. To register, please visit http://tinyurl.com/sqwmentalhealth2025 - spots are limited due to seating capacity!

The hardest part of this effort is going to be ensuring people show up. Mental health is still taboo. Please help us spread the word.
